Design: GLOBE Electric Wire Rope Hoists are designed as per IS: 3938-1983 — a recognised standard that ensures every unit is built to a consistent, proven benchmark.
Construction & Frame: GLOBE Hoists feature a unique modular construction where each sub-assembly is individually accessible, cutting down maintenance time and cost significantly. The main frame is fabricated from tested quality steel plates, welded and bolted into a rugged, long-lasting structure.
Rope Drum & Gear Box: The rope drum is fabricated from mild steel or seamless tube, machined and grooved to IS: 3938 to accommodate the full wire rope length in a single layer. The totally enclosed, immersed oil-bath gear box houses EN-9/EN-24 steel gears precision-hobbed for smooth, reliable power transmission.
Motor & Controls: Hoist duty 415V, 50Hz, 3-phase AC squirrel cage motors with 40% CDF, Class B insulation from NGEF, GEC, or Bharat Bijlee. Push-button pendant control operates at 110V for operator safety, with snap-action limit switches preventing over-hoisting and over-lowering. Control panels from SIEMENS, L&T, and BCH are fully enclosed and vermin-proof.
Wire Rope, Hooks & Brake: 6x37 construction FMC best plough steel wire rope tested to IS: 2266, from reputed makes like Usha Martin / Fort William. Hooks conform to IS: 8610, free to rotate and swivel. Instant-action fail-to-safe electromagnetic auto-manual disc/shoe brakes ensure the load stays secure the moment power is interrupted.
